Missed Periods. TVS Test Shows Enlarged Right Ovary With Low Level Echoes, Internal Septation. Complex Cyst?

Hello, I missed my periods, and its been two months now. Recently i did an TVS Test and the report says Right Ovary Grossly enlarged in size measuring 62.7 x 60.7 x 537 mm with few low level echoes and internal septation. Is it a complex cyst?? Does this go by medication? What do i have to do to prevent this type of cyst coming again. Please help me with my query.

Hi,
The findings seen on ultrasound should be correlated with clinical findings. The sonogram findings give a picture of a benign tumor of the ovary, most likely a multilocular serous cystadenoma. Smooth margins, absence of irregular solid areas, thin septa and the absence of ascites go in favor of a benign lesion. most often, ovarian cysts go on their own. Treatment depends on the diagnosis and the extent of symptoms. Treatment is mostly surgical if the cyst does not spontaneously regress. Avoid smoking, birth control pills, fertility drugs and maintain a healthy body weight. Please consult your health care professional for further advice. Wish you speedy recovery.
