Missed Periods. Overweight, Stressed About New Environment. Sexually Inactive. Thoughts?
My 17 year old step daughter is from China. She has been in the US for a year. She is overweight. She has missed her last four menstrual cycles. She has not had contact with boys so I know it is not pregnancy. I'm thinking it is due to weight and stress about her new school. She is asymptomatic but her mother is concerned. Ant thoughts?

From history it seems that she might be having hypothyroid giving rise to this problem.
Initially at this age period can be irregular but as she is overweight possibility of hypothyroid should be ruled out.
