Hello,
You should rule out the possibility of pregnancy first by a pregnancy test and if that is negative, think of any hormonal imbalance as the cause. You may also have a trans-vaginal sonogram to check for any pelvic pathology. During the peri-menopausal years, it is always possible to miss a cycle or two as the ovarian reserves dwindle. Please see a specialist for proper evaluation. Take care.
