Mild Heart Attack, Headache, Bloating, Gas, Water On Heart Diagnosed. Taking Ibuprofen, Asthmatic Medicine. Advise?

My husband had a mild heart attack last Tuesday morning and they diagnosed him with water on the heart. He is taking quite a bit of ibuprofen a day but still has a headache. he is also getting bloated and gassy. the dr. put him on asthmatic meds too but as soon as the meds wear off he's back to feeling lousy. Any advice?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Bloating and gases may from the heart attack itself – Inferior wall ischemia presents like this!
It can be from the ibuprofen – Anti-inflammatory agents can irritate the stomach / can also induce asthma!...
Water on the heart – pericardial effusion? Increased amount can press on the heart and impair the function – cardiac tamponade...
You must discuss with your cardiologist
The treating doctor alone can suggest based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
