Mild G6PD With Fever And Taking Paracetamol. Is It Sufficient To Take Only Paracetamol?
my daughter is 31 years old, single and has mild g6pd. she has fever and the only medicine she has at the moment is paracetamol. she is too weak to go to the pharmacy to buy ibuprofen. Is it okay to take paracetamol in the meantime? She is alone in her dorm at the moment.
Thanks for writing to health care magic. I can understand your concern.
First get her examined by a doctor to arrive at a diagnosis for the fever. Symptomatic treatment with paracetamol may be given to patients with fever but may not be sufficient some times.
Continue to ask further queries as required. Hope this helps. Take care. Dr Y V Siva Sankara Murty M.D.(Pediatrics) Associate Professor of Pediatrics
