Mention The Purpose Of Dubagest Medication

Hi, I am Deepti aged 26, I had a miss carriage on Mar 2014, due to no cardiac activity. I am planning for kids now. My doctor gave me Ovutrig injects for egg release and Dubagest sr 2oo for two weeks and she also prescribed me cycloset tonic twice a day along with folic acid tabs. After a uv scan she told me that egg is released. What is the use of these Dubagest sr 2oo, as I m not yet pregnant. THanks Deepti

Dubagest is a type of progesterone. Progesterone is a pregnancy supporting hormone . Sometimes it is given , to give progesterone support, before pregnancy to occur, so that early miscarriages which occur because of corpus luteal deficiency can be prevented, if somebody conceives in that cycle.
