Mensuration Like Cramps. Had Total Abdominal Hysterectomy, Had Ovaries Removed. Why Is Pain Getting Worse?
Good morning! I had a TAH, ovaries removed, on Sept 16. Was doing really good until earlier this week and then I started getting menstrual-like cramps, so I took it easier. Cramps are worse now, and I plan on calling my doc tomorrow. I don't think I over-did it, but I'm somewhat concerned - hoping I didn't pull any stitches or anything on the inside. Is it normal to have this almost 3 weeks post-op? I kind of thought if my uterus was gone, I shouldn't have cramping like this. Thanks, Debbie

Cramps after surgery is normal but if hey are more then you need to get examined by your treating doctor to prevent complications. I suggest you to take some painkiller like advil or tylenol for temporary relief. Thank you.
