Medication For Over-drinking

Hi My today s readings are as below: Fasting Sugar : 7.73mmol / Post Meal : 9.99mmol. Fasting triglyceride : 1.80 mmol Total cholesterol : 2.63 mmol ( below minimum) I am taking gluconorm SR (one pill) & Rozavel F ( one tablet) & Omega food supplment on daily basis. I have following questions: 1.I have to attend a company party where I will be required to drink alcohol in the night for contineuous 3 days. I may have to overdrink to keep up with boss/colleagues. Like to know what time should I take tablets in those three days or should I skip them altogether ? 2. If I should take tablets - what time should I take those so as to have optimal absorption ? i .e before breakfast ( 8 hrs after drinks), lunch or before drinks? PS:( By the way - I am not a regular drinker & did not drink since last 45 days) Kindly advise. Thanks Rahul

Welcome to Healthcare Magic
You need to understand that drinking alcohol is injurious to health, so avoid alcohol at all costs. If you really have to drink to impress your boss then it is recommended that you take the medicines as you do regularly, do not change the timings. Your blood glucose values are borderline high range. Alcohol can increase risk of low blood sugar levels since you are already on these medicines, so try to mix your drinks and dilute with soda or water. Kindly dilute all drinks to avoid surge in alcohol levels which can interact with the medicines and increase cholesterol level.
