Massive heart attack in non smoker. Is it possible?

My brother who lives with me had a massive heart attack 2 weeks ago. He's 55 never smoked, rarely drinks , exercises eats fruit vegatables etc..There is no history of heart problems in the family. He was given 3 stents in the hospital and is on meds. My question is -if you have not smoked etc and have no history of heart disease how do you prevent another attack? There seems to be nothing to change. The only thing I can see is he is a big eater-he isn't overweight but enjoys a good meal . Also his sleeping habits were bad. Can just these 2 factors lead to heart attack and what are his chances of further attacks? The cardiologist isn't even seeing him agaim for 2 months. I would think he needs constant monitoring but now that he ahs stents do they figure he's good to go for a while? Thanks for responding.

Thanks for query,
There are other factors which play roles for cardiac disease.
Smoking and alcohol are one of them.
After stent he will be alright as blood supply is maintained.
He should consult cardiologist time to time for progress of his health and any problem in the heart or with stents.
Ok and bye.
