Many Stents Put Due To Hardening Of Arteries. Chewing Tobacco Bad For Arteries?

Yes. I am 57 years old and have hardening of the arteries I had several stents put in around my heart ( the WIdowmaker being one of them) in 2001. The doc told me to quit smoking -which miraculously i did do after 30 years of smoking. Problem - I chew tobacco now and am worried its just as bad for my arteries. Is it , Doc ?
