MRI Shows Child Having Extra Space In Front Of Her Brain. What Does That Mean?
After a CAT scan - My 8 month old Preemie grand daughter was told Monday that her brain was small and she may have microcephaly per Neurosurgeon. On Wednesday she went for a MRI and then we were told no she does not have microcephaly but she does have extra space in the front/ front side area of her brain. What does this mean ? she was released from the hospital and told she was fine. Could she still have this microcephaly ? Will we encounter any further problems from having extra space near her frontal lobes ?

Some amount of extra space in front of frontal lobes is normal in kids.
Keep measuring your child's head size every month and make sure his development milestones are attained.
If these are fine then no need to worry.
