MCV, MCH Low For 3 Yrs 11 Months Old. On Iron Medicines, Blood Not Absorbing Iron. Anything To Worry ?

hi my daughter is 3 yrs 11 months and her reports suggest tht only and mcv and mch r low and everything other than tht r normal. her mcv is 69 and mch is 22.2, hemoglobin is normal, rbc and wbc is also normal she is on iron medicine frm past 6 months and her pediatrition says her blood is not absorbing iron.. is this something to worry abt?

Hi
There is nothing to worry as you siad Hemoglonin is normal and WBC, RBC rae normal. So you can continue the iron medication as per your doctor advise and you can go for the addition of oral vitamin C supplementation to incease the iron absorption from the gut after consulting your Pediatrician
