15 year old was given RAI for the past 4 years . Not responding to the treatment. Lungs show innumerable bilateral metastases.Tg is 1638. Advised Lu177 dotatate therapy if there is a good accumulation of dotanoc. How good the treatment is. Is there any other hope?

My daughter has thyroid cancer Received RAI thrice . Not responding. Has spread to the lungs. Now she has been advised Lu177 dotatate therapy. How good the therapy is. What is the life span of the patient
UNFORTUANTELY , THE ADVICE IS CORRECT. THE CONDITIION YOU ARE IN NECESSIATES THIS. REGARDING SUCCESS, IT VARIES BASED ON THE TEST PARAMETERS AND STAGING.YOU SHOULD GO FOR THIS.

LUNG METASTASIS OCCURS BY MICROVASCULAR INVASION AND IT CAN EVEN OCCUR EVEN WHEN THERE IS NO EXTRACAPSULAR INVASION. SO SPREADING TO LUNGS IS QUITE POSSIBLE EVEN WITH NO EXTRATHYROIDAL INVASION
