Lungs Report Showed Prominent Bronchovascular Markings. Meaning?

FINDINGS: both the lungs demonstrate prominent bronchovascular markings; both the costo-phrenic and cardio-phrenic angles are normal; trachea and mediastinum are in the midline; cardiac size is within normal limits; there is no evidence of pleural effusion or pneumotorax; bony thoracic cage appears normal.
IMPRESSION; prominent bronchovascular markings in the bilateral lungs; please correlate clinically.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
Prominent bronchovascular markings is radiological term and needs to be correlated clinically.If you do not have symptoms prominent bronchovascular markings has no clinical value.
If there is no other abnormality in X ray chest.This finding is common in smokers if you smoke please stop, it is better to get digital X ray for better assessment.
Consult a chest physician,If symptoms like cough and sputum production is there then a HRCT of chest will help in assessing exact cause of your condition.
Please visit your Physician and after examination if required further investigations may be done.
