Lung Cancer, Painful, Heartburn, Acid Reflux. Taking Oxycodone And Tylenol. Will It Help?

I am taking ocycodone for pain related to lung cancer surgery that I had two months ago and it is giving me major heartburn and acid reflux My doctor stopped the celebrex and lyrica that I was taking just yesterday. My sister takes Tylenol 500mg and I am wondering whether this would work for me for pain. As you know lung surgery is very painful

Hello,
The cause for your heartburn and acid reflux is primarily due to gastritis caused by taking these pain killers.Since pain killers are unavoidable as you are having pain related to surgery,so you are advised to follow following precautions..
Never take these pain killers on empty stomach.
Take some proton pump inhibitor like OMEPRAZOLE 20 mg twice a day half hour before meals.
Avoid spicy and greasy food.
Don't lie on bed immediately after taking your food.
Keep your head end of your bed slighltly raised while sleeping.
Discuss with your doctor regarding this.
Thanks
