Lung And Heart Test Done. What Do The Findings Indicate?

there are linear, hazy and ill-defined desitites in the medial aspeco of the right apical region. crowding of the pulmonary vaccular markings is also seen in the left suprahilar region, the rest of the lungs are clear. heart is not enlarged, both hemidiaphragms and costophrenic sulci are intact, the visualized bony structures are unremarkable 1. apicolordotic view is suggested to further evaluate the linear, hazy and iil-defined densities in the medial aspect of the right apical region. : 2. crowding of the pulmonary vascular markings in the left suprahilar region. a superimposed inflammatory process in not totally ruled out. further follow-up is recommended. what does this means doctor ?thank you..

Radiologist 's  Response
After reading, i believe,
your doctor is trying to seen if there are any features of active infection in your lungs.

Since your chief complaints are not mentioned in query for which this radiograph was done its difficult to say much with certainty

however let me explain

there features mentioned in chest radio graph indicating indirect features of infection in lung's upper part, which needs to be further clarified by taking additional view (apico lardotic view) weather there features are indicative of active infection or just residual scars of some old infection in lung.

crowding of the pulmonary vascular markings in the left suprahilar region also helps to find out the same.
