Lump On Right Wrist, It Hurts When I Press It

I have a soft lump on my right inter-wrist below the thumb. The knot came be felt rubbing around it. At times underneath the knot/lump it hurts as if its carpel tunal...then the pain will go away if I wrap my wrist and use it very little. But the lump does not go away. If I press the lump it will start my wrist to hurting again. What should I do?
