Lump In Throat. Unable To Swallow Or Drink. What Can Help?

I feel like a piece of sausage got stuck in my throat yesterday at dinnertime. I can still swallow and drink, but I feel like there s something stuck in my throat. I tried to gag myself while brushing my teeth and I tried gargling baking soda and warm water, and none of that helped. I don t know whether to try to throw it up or wait and see if it ll go down on it s own.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello. it is highly unlikely that the sausage is stuck in your throat as you are able to swallow or drink. it is possible that it has caused mild trauma leading to a swelling in your throat, which is causing the sticky feeling. relax, avoid spicy and oily foods. give it 2-3 days to come down and if you still have the feeling , then meet your ENT doctor. thanks
