I have a lump in front of the my left ear, it is grown to where I can see a difference in size of my face . It doesn t hurt, just noticeable. Any suggestion?
You could be having an enlarged pre-auricular lymph node or an enlarged parotid gland. This can be confirmed only after doing a thorough examination. The enlarged lymph node could be due to infection in the surrounding region or inside the ear. Secondly, if it is a parotid swelling then there could be blockage in the duct supplying the saliva into the mouth. A local examination of the lesion and ultrasound of the swelling can confirm the diagnosis.
