Lump below mouth after falling. Having ear pain, pain from bottom to crown of head, itching. Suggestions?

I had a fall a couple of weeks ago and bashed below my mouth on my a table. It didn t bruise to the surface from inside the mouth till 12 hours later. Since then the bruise has gone but I have a tender hard lump in its place. I suffered opposite side earache with shooting pains from bottom to crown of my head. I m now itching constantly.

hello and welcome to HCM,

In any injury to the jaw we are worried about the injury to the jaw joint or the TMJ joint. When this happens you may get mouth pain especially on opening and also it may effect the ear and in many cases can causes drum trauma. To rule out all these you need to do the following if routine pain killers and jaw rest in not working out:
1. consult an ENT who will examine your ears and drum and possibly advice further tests like the CT or the audiometry for proper treatment and diagnosis
2. Consult a dental surgeon who will have a look at your TMJ and advice further treatment

take care and do not meddle with your ears
