Lower Back Pain Before Periods. Heavy Bleeding For Sometime, Whitish Pink Gummy Discharge Later. Possible Miscarriage?

I have been concerned about something that happened with my last cycle and if I could have been pregnant or not. I had bad lower back pain for like 2 days and then I started wasn't very heavy at first so I put a tampon in and few hrs later went to change cause I was hurting and when I pulled out the tampon there was a offwhite/slight pinkish gummy stuff stuck to it with dark blood attached with it. When I removed it from the tampon it stayed together could I have had a miscarriage?

In my opinion , i will like to advise an ultrasound scan because these symptoms are only indicative but not confirmatory of pregnancy/ miscarriage.
