Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Lower Abdominal Cramping, Diarrhea, Blood And Mucus From Bowels, Bladder Spasms, Leakage Of Urine. Any Ideas?
I have been having lower abdominal cramping x 2 days. Had very large stool 2 days before started that was soft. When cramping started had diarrhea that then turned to just bright red blood and mucus. Up last night with cramping and urgent need to defecate every 30 minutes with little or no stool, always blood and mucus. I do have hemorrhoids and just gave birth 9 weeks ago. Went to Dr. Today, had blood work and and X-ray of abdomen. Everything came back ok and they sent stool sample. Taking imodium for cramping...still no stool just blood. Now I am having what feels like bladder spasms and strong urge to urinate with a little leakage of urine. What could this be caused by?
I would like to review the stool and urine routine reports to give you the correct guidance. It appears that you are having both an intestinal infection and a urine infection which needs an antibiotic. I would have followed the routine investigations with blood work up and x-ray, if required.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
Wishing you an early recovery.
