Low Blood Count Due To Excessive Menstruation. Ultrasound Report Showing Swollen Uterine Wall. Need Hysterectomy?

Hi I have a low blood count because of severe bleeding from my period. My ultra sound shows that the uterine wall is swollen. I also had a blood test which showed that my sugar level is 97, my cholesterol is 168, my CA 125 test came out fine and my liver and kidneys seem to be functioning properly. My doctor suggested havingg D & C, but there is a high rate of females who have fibroids in my family. So I wondered if it would be more prudent to have a hysterectomy because they all eventually had to have one. I am also concerned about having a low blood count and having to have either a D&C or hysterectomy and also there is a concern that I might have cervical cancer.

Hi, You have a low blood count, because of severe bleeding of the periods. Ultrasound shows uterine wall is thick, doctor suggested D%C, but you prefer to have hysterectomy, due to family history of fibroids.
As you prefers if you have crossed child bearing age, and you have one or two children ,you can have hysterectomy. Thank you.
