Loss of taste buds, weakness, depression. Help?

My mother is 84 and for the last few years has no taste buds. Her doctor has no answer or interest. She brings it up at every consultation and just ignores her. She has no interest in eating and is about 100 pounds now and very weak, depressed and boney. She is on a number of medications and has a number of health issues. HELP
