Hello

I have gone through your history of illness and as said that you sustain slap over your right ear in your childhood and since than you developed loss of hearing from your right ear. Here I would like to tell you that most of the time slap injury causes perforation of ear drum and this traumatic perforation heales by itself very quickly.Sometimes if force is strong enough than there occurs dislocation and fracture of ossicles in that case surgical intervention is necessary. In rare cases strong force may damage to secondary tympanic membrane of round window which leads to sensory neural deafness which is incurable.

You are advice for these investigations-
(1) Audiometery ( Pure tone & impedance )
(2) C.T.scan of ear.
By these two investigations it can be decided what type & severity of hearing loss you are having and will it be curable or not.

I hope your query is explained but still if you have any doubt then feel free to write us.

With Regards.
