Looking at the haemoglobin and platelet count what does it say ?
Hi, My sis is 22 yrs old. Her Haemoglobin is 7.9 and her platelet count 5.5 Lakhs. Is it something serious?

The platelet count of 5.5 lakhs is absolutely normal but she is anaemic as her haemoglobin is too low for her. The minimum level she should have is 10.0 It is better to start her on iron based supplements and high protein diet so that it rises back to normal.
