Liver Cancer, Worse Condition, Very Aggressive, Fast Moving. How Long Will He Live?

Hi my father in law was diagnosed with Liver Cancer 2 days ago, the doctor said it was the worse case of liver cancer he has ever seen. The scan showed the entire liver covered except for 2 spots. The doctors have him 1 years if he chose to do cemo, 3 months with out. The cancer is apparently a very aggressive fast moving cancer. How long do you think he will live?

Hello,
Putting a time frame to life or death is a godly act and is beyond the per view of humans.
The fact of matter is that your father in law is in terminal stage of cancer liver where the chances of survival are very poor.
What matters at the moment is,you give him your love and affection to the maximum of your capacity so that he passes his last days in peace and happiness.
You must give him all the treatment which is required to be given to him at this stage which includes chemotherapy and good nutrition.
Thanks

General Surgeon Dr. Grzegorz Stanko's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

It is very hard to predict how long he will live. I can only give you a statistic life expectancy which in case of liver cancer is approximately 6 months of the diagnose. However every cancer is different and this time can be shorter or longer. More accurate prediction is impossible.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
