Lipid Profile Shows Cholesterol 184, Triglyceride 479, LDL 48, HDL 30. Explain

Hello, I am a 37 year old healthy Female from India. My latest lipid profile readings are as under:
Total Cholesterol - 184
Triglyceride - 479
LDL Cholesterol Direct - 48
HDL Cholesterol Direct - 30
Tc/HDL Cholesterol Ratio - 6.1%
LDL/HDL RATIO - 1.6
VLDL Cholesterol - 95.74
I am a Housewife
Our Body Wt is 75 kgs
I am a non-vegetarian,
I presume my triglyceride levels are high. What should I do to come to normal.

Hello,

The report indicates that you have Hypertriglyceridemia. This value is very high. Triglycerides are responsible cardiovascular diseases. You need to avoid fatty foods. Regular exercise for 45 mins a day. Increase fibre in your diet like vegetables, greens and fruits. You need to take medication also for reducing the triglycerides. Consult your doctor.
