It is not an uncommon presentation. A heart attack pain has been known to start in the right wrist and gradually climb up to the shoulder and finally settles in the chest and the classical left arm and/or back. This is because of the doubled sided autonomic innervation of the heart developing as a midline structure originally and radiading to the corresponding somatic nerves Hope this answers your question.

My mean red blood cel distrib.width is flagged above normal range 14.2% this is constantly the case along with ESR. reading of 32mm/h above normal range. I am getting gripping pain in my chest and top of right arm. BP slightly raised and breathlessness on climbing stairs. My Father died aged 59 with heart disease/angina his Mother at 62 yrs.old and his Brother at 57 yrs. old n ot heavy smokers or greatly overweight and all virtually non drinkers. I am concerned my symptoms are being passed of as polymyalgia rheumatica and was given steroids on and off for past 4 yrs. they do stop the painful joints but on stopping them after 2-3 wks and in pain in every joint. I am 58 yrs. old probably a stone and half over weight but still try and keep active..walking lots and light exercise and good diet.Should I insist on further tests for heart disease? many thanks Patricia

Recently (most recent occurrence 6/20/15) I have been experiencing extreme sensitivity to cold. I ll just break out in goosebumps from head to toe and get so cold that it almost hurts. I had this occur Saturday evening while outside in 80 degree weather and wearing a tshirt & jeans - my arms were warm but my fingertips were ice cold. Also (this did not occur Sat.) I ve noticed my fingers & right above my wrists on both hands will suddenly and radomnly turn a bluish grey and consistently lately my nail beds are extremely pale/white. Occasionally I ve even noticed that my right hip will lack registering me running my hand up and down it - it feels as if it s almost numb/tingly. I am 26 years old, 66.5 tall, weight 113 and am a smoker. I also my resting/normal heart rate normally registers between 110 and 130. Is there a problem with my heart or veins?

My husband's heart is beating loudly and seems to be beating irregularly. I took his blood pressure and it was normal. His heart rate was 102bpm. He also has an urge to cough periodically. He's had these episodes happen before and the cough has helped at times. Do we need to be concerned? His father died from heart disease and started having an irregular heart beat when he was 35.
