I am confused OK I am 13 weeks pregnant went to doc on the 4 and did all my lab and got tested and a few days later i got a call from the screening and i tested positive for dos,then they changed it to trosomy 18 but remind you that wen i went on the 4 i told doctor my last period was 08-20-09 but i was off a month so now they are saying forget about the testes they noticed something in the ultrasound which was the baby was still balled up and maybe still attached to the wall dont kno but they saying now its limb body wall complex, i dont kno can you please help b4 it gets late

if at all it is downs or trisomy 18 it is a genetic disorder and you dont have any control in rectification. the initiall tests will be indicating what it is as only screening test is done. the period or other factors have no influence in the diagnosis of downs or trisomy 18. what will be the next step is they will do a procedure where in they will do testing of the fluid which the baby secretes and do genetic analysis. if it comes positive for downs or trisomy 18 than it is confirmatory, and they might suggest you to discontinue the pregnancy as the child born will be with multiple defects including mental retardation.
