Left sided pain, cramps while urinating, passing dark yellow urine. Report normal. Cause for pain?

hi. i have been having left sided pain , cramping while urinating , dark yellow urine just once a day , rest of the times it is mostly clear. But at the end of the urine stream , few drops that flow backwards towards the perinuem fall as whitish drops in the toilet bowl, and also had one or two thread like / mucus specks occasionally in last few weeks. i hav a h/o renal stones in the past.. i got an ultarsound done 2 days back, it came normal, no hydronephrosis no stone.. all fine ... urine culture is negative, protein dipstick negative...i feel it can be candidial.. due sexual activity , but why the cramping on left side... could it be a normal thing in pre menstrua; period as i am expecting my periods in a day or two

Urologist 's  Response
You may be suffering fron pelvic inflammatory disorder with over active bladder. Since ultasound does not show renal pathology and urine culture is also sterile, it could be some vaginal discharge with PID. you should meet your gynecologist who can clinically examine you and advice accordingly. For urinary symtoms you can take anticholinergis like tab soliten 5 mg once daily.
