Late Periods, Negative Pregnancy Tests, Have Pregnancy Symptoms, Had Stressful Month. Any Ideas?
My period is about a week late. I took a pregancy test and it came back negative. I have had a lot of pregnancy symptoms: light nausea, heavy white discharge, frequent urination, sore pelvis after masterbation.
Please keep in mind that April was a very stressful month for me. I was just wondering if it is possible for the pregnancy tests to be false negative. Is it also possible that the hcg hormone might not be present in the early stages of pregnancy?
Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Pregnancy test can be false negative rarely. If your previous cycles were on time & this is an unusual thing for you then please repeat your test after a week or go for a blood pregnancy test.
hCG hormone is always present if an ongoing pregnancy is present, even in the early stages of pregnancy.
If your repeat pregnancy test is negative & you don't have period please consult a gynecologist for necessary investigation as the symptoms you have quoted are all non specific for pregnancy.
Hope this answers your question.
Wish you good health.
