Large Lump On Shoulder, Itching, Swelling, Pain On Pressing. Causes And Treatment?

my shoulder has a large swolen lump that appears sometimes that itches. I dont know what it is or what is causing it. it always occurs then goes away for a long time then comes back. it swells about an inch above my normal skin level. again, it itches and when i poke it or push on it it hurts and it feels ike it may be hollow but it is a thick area...not just a bubble on my skin.

thank you.have you persistent shoulder pain or associated any other joint problem?it may be a one type of periarticular bursitis which is a complication of long time arthritis.but it should be examined properly.consult a orthopedic specialist.
