Large lump across stomach, cramps while working out in gym, defective abdominal muscles since birth, treatment

When I do set ups I have a large lump down my full length of my stomach . I can never work out hard on my stomach as it feels like it will cramp up. I have had this my whole life. A few years ago my doctor told me I was just born with defective ab muscles. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

If this is not progressed since years then simply ignore it. Most probably it is hernia through rectus muscle. Just be careful when you are lifting weight as pressure on ab muscles can increase hernia. Also push up and all , be careful a little.
