Large Bruise On Upper Thigh After Falling, One Spot Getting Sore. Ice Or Heat Helpful?

I fell on a hike about two weeks ago and got a very large bruise on my hip/upper thigh about 8 inches in diameter. It got all kinds of crazy colors but is fading a lot the past few days. There's one spot on the bruise that's growing and getting more sore. Is this something to be concerned about? Would ice or heat be helpful at this point?

hi,
Thank you very much for asking query on HCM
The spot where your bruise is growing and sore is probably due to infection
Take antibiotics for 5 days in consultation with your doctor
It may subside within a week or it may become big and become an abscess
At that time you should get it drained by a surgeon
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
