Hi, Welcome to HCM.

I appreciate your concern towards your Fiance. A large stomach/tummy can be dangerous as days go by. Its always better to have sufficient exercise and a healthy diet to keep that in check. A large tummy in turn puts pressure on your internal organs due to which, their functionality might be affected. He can try a complete fruit and vegetable diet, High protein and low cal diet. However, in this case, Exercise is a must. He can do walking and few stretching exercises regularly and it will definitely help in reducing the tummy. Also, you have to be supportive, and encourage him achieve the same and do not put him down as it might be demotivating.

Good luck!!!
