Lactose Intolerant, IBS, Body No Longer Producing Enzymes? What Are Doctors Waiting For?

Hi Docs I have been diagnosed with IBS Which started as lactose intollerant. What I need to know is as blood test can only test diagnoses in later stages and more advanced causes of cancer? Why is it my body is no longer producing enzymes? Why is it doctors are not looking at the underlying problems to why this sudden change? Why do doctors wait before it is too late?
