Lactating Mother Vomited Upon Getting Periods. Abdominal Pain, Fever And Muscle Spasms. Reason?
Hi, I am breastfeeding and just started my first period yesterday. At night I vomited twice and had nausea and also strong abdominal pains for hours that night. The pain passed, but I am running a fever and have muscle pains. I just took a tylenol and as a result I think the fever is going down. However, I don t know what to do and if the fever will go back up.
Welcome to the form. Breast feeding for about 8-10 hours in a day suppresses ovulation. There are rare chances of your getting pregnant since you are breast feeding. Post delivery you need a lot of care, proper diet and rest. If you are strained and have inadequate sleep, you may suffer from indigestion.
However, get clinically examined, have blood tests done to rule out any viral infection as your baby also may catch the infection. Get treated well. The symptms can also be due to allergy and cold. You can take some antihistaminics and antibiotics to get relief.
Take multivitamin tablets, energy drinks, calcium, iron and protein rich diet to build immunity. Take care.
