Knot, Swelling, Bruise, Numbness After Getting Hit On Shin Bone. Chance Of Fracture?

I was hit directly on the shin bone by a baseball. A large knot quickly came up. I applied ice and within an hr the large knot flattened but the swelling is larger than the initial knot. Mild bruising is present and I am able to walk on it but not with full pressure. Pain is present but intense pain occurs hen trying to bear weight. There is numbness around the left side of the shin bone almost the feeling of my leg and foot is asleep....is there a possibility of a fracture.

Hi, as it is a baseball, the major fracture may not be possible, but the soft tissue injury which should have happened should be treated promptly.if the pain is present after 2 days also, we can expect a hair line fracture. In this case you have to consult an orthopedic surgeon. You may need to have an xray for diagnosis. Thank you.
