Knee instability and pain, MRI shows lax ACL. Surgery or exercise?

dear doctor i AM A NURSE met with RTA in 2002 dec had ACL injury right Knee . had Trimming of ACL IN 2003 Jan . Progressively i developed instability and persistant pain Both Knee. MRI showed LAX ACL Consulted Arthroscopic surgeon, advised ACL reconstrution. One more Ortho doctor told ACL normal, good exercise will give good result. What is the solution?

You can start with conservative treatment of muscle strengthening exercises for 10-12 weeks under a physiotherapist. If there is no improvement then surgery can be considered.
