Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Knee Injury, Hard Lump On Knee. Sutures Operation Done. X-ray Normal. Lump Cause Of Concern?
My son fell about 1 month ago on his knee , it required a couple of sutures, he had an x-ray which was fine, he now has a hard lump on his knee and whenever he bends this knee it is visibly bigger than the other knee, he has no pain and it doesn t seem to be limiting him in his activities. Should i be concerned enough to take him back to our FD? Thanks
I think he has a ligament injury of the knee joint. He can have meniscus tear or a ligament injury. I would also like to suggest you to show him to a sports medicine specialist. If you want you can share MR report with me. Till that time take Brufen and apply knee brace.
