Knee Hurts As I Fell, Feels Like A Hard Particle Moving Under Knee Skin. Calcium Deposit?

I fell and landed on my knee. I fell quite hard....there was a big brush burn and my knee hurt all the time. I could walk with little pain but going down steps was terrible. It has been about 5 weeks and at times my knee still hurts but what puzzles me is that I feel a hard, pebble like, particle moving under the skin on the injured knee. What is the particle I feel ? Could it be a calcium deposit ?
