Knee And Shin Pain, Burning Shin. X-ray Normal

Hi. I have severe pain in my knees, along the shin and sometimes the lower thigh close to the knee. Sometimes there is burning along the shin. I only feel the pain when I lay down. When I walk I do not really feel the pain. Sometimes when my leg is in rest position while sitting I feel the pain. Did an x ray sometime ago and they did not see anything wrong. I am 29 years old. It started hurting in about February this year.

Hi
No pain on walking practically rules out lack of blood supply to muscles as a cause...
The location - at above and below the knee - suggests a local cause, if it is on one side. But if it is on both sides, it could have a general (systemic) cause - the information is not very clear.
You should see a physician initially / may need an orthopaedic referral depending on his findings.
Good luck
