Itchy Red Bumps, Filled With Clear Fluid. Help

I ve been getting these itchy red bumps all over my body. They look like very small, red insect bites . The more I scratch them, the bigger and more irritable they become. Some of them have started filling up with clear, water- like fluid. They start itching late at night and early in the morning and they appear on the most sensitive parts of my body. I ve done some investigating for bedbugs and but there are no signs of them. Can you please help?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

You are having lichen urticatus..also known as papular urticaria.

It is hypersensitive reaction to insects, bed bugs or mosquitoes

There occurs erythematous papulovesicular erutions on trunk and exrimities.

Take antihistaminics like cetirizine or loratidine till itch is relieved.

If there is severity, you may take short and tappering course of steroids

If you feel , infection in lesions, take one week course of antibiotics.

Apply calmine lotion or mild steroids with antibiotic cream.

Avoid soap.

Avoid stress.

Be away from insects.

I think, you might be improved. However, you consult dermatologist.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
