Itchy bumps on the labia majora. Are they herpes or fordyce spots?

I have bumps on my labia minora . They do itch a little, but there is no discharge. I have just finished my period today, and I only noticed them a few days ago, while still on my period. I have researched photos of herpes , and there are only one or two photos that look like what I have...I have also researched photos of fordyce spots , and that, even when its a photo of a mouth or penis, is a way better match. Do fordyce spots itch?

I would like to tell you that fordyce spots are essentially asymptomatic in nature. So they are not associated with any itching or discomfort.

Now as far as herpes is concerned, it presents with fluid filled lesions . These are associated with pain and discomfort and they usually do not heal without treatment.
Since you are having these since quite sometime now, I would advise you to see a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and management.
You can also click pictures and have a dermatologist's opinion here on this forum.
There are many conditions which can have such a presentation. So it is important to have a look at the lesions for proper diagnosis.

Hope it helps
