Itching On Right Side Of Vagina On Labia Minora, Small Bump In Exact Spot. Sexually Inactive. Any Ideas ?
I have not been sexually active for 5 years and have never had any issues that concerned me with contracting any form Of std in the past. This morning I woke up and had some itching on the right side of my vagina- on the Labia minora. The itching subsided when left alone, but then in the shower I noticed a small bump in that exact spot. It is not painful to touch- and not visible- completely exact color of the surrounding flesh. It does itch when irritated though. I haven't had any discharge and have examined the area carefully. There is only the one spot and the itching is localized to that spot as well. It is smaller than the size of a pencil eraser. I was outdoors last night in a short skirt and there were Mosquitos. It honestly FEELS like a bug bite- just seems like an awfully strange and difficult place to get one. Any ideas?
Hello Thanks for your query. It DOES sound like an insect bite, particularly with the itching. It could have been allergy to a substance, fabric, cosmetic etc. To confirm the diagnosis, you need a doctor to have a look at it. Please get that done. Take care.
