My general practitioner, whom I visited today says that I am experiencing an alergic reaction to one of my meds. I have a mile rash on my torso. I am on vacation so will not be able to see my dermatologist for three weeks. Can I take zyrtec twice aday to help with the itching?

Hi.

Well if it is an allergic reaction to any of your medicine then you need to know which medicine is causing allerhy.
This is important because if you continue taking this medicine then the reaction can continue to occur.

Also taking antiallergics like Zyrtec can help im controlling itching but if you continue taking the medicine the reaction can continue to occur.

So for now you can take Zyrtec twice a day in a gap of 12 hours but do not exceed.
Also apply Caladryl lotion for relief..
Drink plenty of water.

Hope I have answered your query.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
