Is Xylocaine Jelly And Herbesser Tablet Right Medication For Anal Fissure?
Dr, i have some swollen part of anal i have no pain every thing is ok except swollen . i went to Dr he advised it is anal fisher he give me following medicine 1- xylocaine jelly and herbesser (diltiazem hcl) 30 mg tabled when i read about uses jelly is stop the pain which i do not have and second for hypertension. i am not satisfied with medicine please advise it is treatment of anal fisser
You should trust your doctor. He has prescribed you very good medicines and you should use them. Xylocaine is for pain indeed. If you dont have any pain you dont have to use it. Most likely doctor prescribed it in case of pain. Dilitiazem is used for hypertention indeed. But it also is used to relax rectal muscle. This allows to decrease the pressure during passing the stool and let the fissure to heal. So you should use this medicine as advised.
You may also have Oak Bark sitz baths twice a day, wash your anus after every stool, increase fiber rich products and mineral water intake to soften the stool. Such treatment (including medicines prescribed by your doctor) should heal it in a week or so. If not, please consult proctologist.
