Is white liquid accumulation in the Jackson-Pratt Drain due an infection?

my husband has had a surgery and has a JP drain in Yesterday I noticed that the color in the JP drain was turning to a whiter color instead of the red from the blood. Was wondering if it could be an infection? He has no fever and is not complaining of any pain.

Hello,
It could be from infection. It would be best for you to get this checked out with the surgeon that placed the drain. Call their office today and report this finding.
