Hello dear,
Abdominal discomfort and loos stools indicates gastro enteritis.
In children, most of the times it can be managed just with proper hydration in the form of ORS solution alone(10 ml/kg after each stools,in frequent small sips).Paracetamol can be added for fever/abdominal pain.It will come down in 3-4 days.
Antibiotics are needed only if there is blood in stools/persisting fever/pain on passing stools.Remember maintaining hydration is the most important thing in the management.
Hope you will find this information useful.Thank you.
